Food Science and Technology Association

A non-profit community association established in 2020 in Amman, registered with the Ministry of Social Development under No. 420205755, and its activities are supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Association Goals

To become an academic platform for all those interested in food science and technology in Jordan and the Arab region — including academics, students, food industry owners, and all professionals and enthusiasts in the field, regardless of their scientific backgrounds or workplaces. It also aims to promote awareness in the community based on proven scientific facts.

Vision

To become a professional reference and a center of expertise for all matters related to food science and technology in Jordan and the Arab region.

Membership

Membership in the association is open to all those interested in food sciences in its various fields, whether working in academic institutions, the private food industry sector, public sector organizations, or simply individuals passionate about food culture, both within Jordan and abroad.

Our Mission

The association strives to achieve its objectives through:

Organizing seminars and delivering lectures on topics related to food.

Publishing the latest global developments related to food on its website and in its publications.

Raising community awareness and helping people distinguish between facts and false claims about food.

Issuing a peer-reviewed journal to serve researchers in various fields of food science.

Issuing a non-peer-reviewed publication to serve the food industry sector and related service and regulatory sectors.

Organizing specialized conferences in food sciences to provide opportunities for young researchers to present their work to interested audiences.

Providing professional advice and consultations in various fields of food science.
