The Food Science and Technology Society, in coordination with the Jordanian Agricultural Engineers Association, is pleased to announce the First Scientific Day, entitled:
“Food Security and Supply Chains in Times of Crisis: From Resilient Food Systems to Household Emergency Preparedness”
The event will be held on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Al-Zahraa Hall, Professional Associations Complex.
This Scientific Day is organized in response to the rapidly evolving global challenges and the increasing impact of geopolitical crises and supply chain disruptions on food security. The event aims to highlight the latest scientific developments and practical solutions that strengthen the resilience of food systems and enhance the preparedness of institutions and communities to respond effectively to crises and emergencies.
The program will feature scientific presentations and specialized lectures delivered by distinguished academics, experts, and professionals, based on the latest scientific evidence. The program will address the following two main themes:
- Food Supply Chains and Food Security in the Context of Geopolitical Crises
- Household Food Security and Food Management During Emergencies
The Scientific Day will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among researchers, academics, professionals from the food and food manufacturing sectors, and relevant stakeholders. It aims to contribute to strengthening food security and promoting the sustainability and resilience of the food sector.
